About eight years ago, after letting go of a career run in music, I started to make art. At first it was just a collection of experiments, playing with materials, and trying to make something cool to look at. By total accident, I was invited to do a gallery show, and then again by chance, I was asked to participate in an art crawl. Since that time I have steadily made art for galleries, festivals, charity events, and by commission.

I have always tried to keep my basic art voice very simple. My hope is that people find a certain immediacy in my work, and hopefully it evokes a positive reaction. Of course, results may vary. Having grown up in the backdrop of the beautiful South, I’m playing with nature, and placing those creatures in an environment that straddles the past and present. I am fascinated with the sentimental feelings of old family relics, music, art, and history. And, I love to create a collision of those ideas that touch on our modern lives. |
